Open Practice Update!
ORIGINS PARKOUR GYM – VANCOUVER
We are happy to announce that we will be relieving some of our Open Practice COVID-19 restrictions.
In November we introduced training zones to ensure our patrons could have more space for their individual workouts than they would have at any other public open gym. With training zones in place we could only facilitate 14 patrons (or households) at a time in our 6,000 sf main hall. 8 zones were available at our Port Moody Studio.
But things are about to change once again…
ORIGINS PARKOUR STUDIO – PORT MOODY
Patrons who have enjoyed the extra space and feel safer with their own zone will still be entitled to their own practice zone. Patrons who do not mind sharing can share a zone with other patrons so long as both parties are consenting and can maintain 2 Meters of distance between them. We still require patrons to limit their zone use to 20 minutes during busier times.
Example A: There are 4 Spring Floor zones at the Vancouver Gym. P1 and P2 want to share one of those zones and maintain 2m of physical distancing. They are ok to share, but must also offer their zone up to someone else after 20 minutes.
Example B: P1 would like their own Spring Floor Zone. They can have the zone to themselves, but they must move on after 20 minutes.
You must reserve your spot
All patrons for Open Practice must reserve their session in advance. You can do this yourself using the MindBody App, Call Us, E-mail, or make your request in person.
You are not allowed to reserve back-to-back Open Practice blocks. Blocks are 2 hours long. If your block ends and their is space in the next block you may check-in on the day. Please leave consecutive blocks open for other patrons when making your reservation.
When you arrive…
a staff member will ask you if you are going to be practicing alone or if you will be joined by someone from your household or small social bubble. Current Provincial health orders restrict social gatherings outside of ones household (extended to Feb 5th). Those who live alone may have 1-2 people they are in close contact with. Letting us know who you are going to be with will make it easier for us to regulate physical distancing, and, you know, avoid having awkward confrontations.
Please leave before your block ends. This will help us with timely cleaning and ventilating that must occur between groups.
Thanks for reading, and we hope to see you soon 🙂
