COVID-19 Protocols
As the pandemic situation changes in British Columbia we will continue to update our own measures to ensure that our spaces are as safe as possible. Here are the current measures we have in place to limit possible transmission of COVID-19.
(Last updated 03.28.2021)
Mask Requirements
All visitors are required to wear a face mask. Exemptions can and will be made for children too young to put on and take off a mask, as well as for people who have health conditions where wearing a mask would cause them harm. Masks must be worn at all times within our business(es).
Occupancy Limits and Reservations
You must reserve your visit. This can be done in person, through e-mail, phone, or using the mindbody app online. Reservations allow us to adhere to the occupancy restrictions that our health authorities have put in place. You may be turned away if you do not have a reservation.
When arriving for a scheduled class you may only sign-in within 5 minutes of the start of that appointment. For example: If your class begins at 12:15pm, you can sign in between 12:10pm and 12:15pm. If you arrive earlier you must wait outside.
Spectators are not allowed. We cannot accommodate space for seating.
Children under the age of 13 attending an Open Practice need a parent or guardian present. As a parent or guardian you must pay a fee to attend Open Practice as we only have space for participants. Exemptions can be made for children who have had more than 4 visits and follow the rules of the gym.
Distancing Reminders
As is common in all indoor and outdoor settings, we will remind our visitors to remain 6ft apart from those outside of their household. Markers are placed throughout our spaces. When attending a class please proceed to a marker for your warm up.
Exits
In order to control spacing during busy times please only use the front door as an entrance. At our Vancouver location we have an exit beyond our blue spring floor. Simply walk through the entryway and proceed across the floor to the back door. The stairs will take you all the way down to the back of the building. In port moody please exit through the garage door opening.
Hand Sanitizing
All visitors are required to wash or sanitize their hands before checking in. Hand sanitizer is located next to the check-in station in Vancouver and at the front desk in Port Moody.
Cleaning & Disinfecting
Our staff perform a robust daily cleaning where all frequently touched surfaces are wiped down and disinfected. We ask our members to help disinfect the space by using spray bottles provided throughout. By giving a spray bottle a firm squeeze you will be able to release an even mist onto whatever surface you were using. To ensure the surface has been disinfected please allow the product to air dry. Do not wipe off the surface after you have sprayed it.
Ventilating
Our adult and teen appointments are spaced apart to allow for ventilation of the space between groups. As the weather heats up we will keep doors and windows open through all business hours.
We cannot wait for the seriousness of the situation in BC to lessen, so that we can begin to lift some of these restrictions. We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our clients and our team. We appreciate all of your patience, support, and understanding.
Sincerely,
Origins Parkour Staff
